Thank you for entering the world of the Mount Rainier Regional Visitors Center located in the historic train depot in Elbe, Washington, on the Road to Tourism! We are located on Highway 7 which leads into the Mount Rainier National Park, or you can turn right and head to Mt. St. Helens. Our region has easy access from Tacoma, Seattle, Portland and Yakima. Here, you can still book rides on an antique steam train or shop in the Rainier Scenic Railroad gift shop. More...

Santa arrives via pontoon boat to Mineral Lake campground at 6:30 PM on Saturday December 12. Each child will get a gift from Santa. Tree lighting, campfires, Christmas carols, food, and beverages.

From Seattle and Tacoma
   South on I-5 to Exit 127
   East on SR 512 to SR 7
   South on SR 7 to Elbe

From Portland
   North on Interstate 5 to US 12 (Exit 68)
   East on US 12 to Morton
   North on SR 7 to Elbe

From Yakima
   East on US 12 to Packwood.

During summer months
   Turn north in Packwood on Forest Service Road #52 (Skate Creek Road)
   Turn west at the junction with SR 706 through Ashford to Elbe

During winter months
   Proceed through Packwood to the junction with SR 7 in Morton
   Turn north on SR 7 follow to Elbe



About our Region
If you are interested in visiting the region of Mount Rainier, Mineral Lake or Mt. St. Helens we have the information that you need.
